OUR STORY

Wear the Story

India has always known how to speak through cloth.

Through the patterns on a sari, the block print on a kurta, and the colors that a tribe chooses for a festival wall. Long before "design" was a term, people used clothing to express their identity and origins.

At Cloy, we believe that conversation should still be happening. That heritage is not something to preserve behind glass or bring out on special occasions. It is something to live in, wash, fold, and wear again tomorrow.

We make clothing inspired by Indian craft traditions because we think culture belongs in everyday life. Not as a costume. Not as a statement. Just something that feels natural, because it is.

The balance we work toward is simple. Traditional enough to be honest. Contemporary enough to be worn. Rooted in where we come from, but made for where we are now.

Inspired by culture. Worn every day.

Rooted, always.

Every design at Cloy begins with one question.

Does this honestly represent the culture it comes from?

Not only does it look good. It will not sell. Does it carry something real?

We take our inspiration from Indian crafts, art traditions, and the communities that have kept them alive for generations. Gond paintings from the forests of Madhya Pradesh. Sohrai murals from the walls of Jharkhand. Temple sculptures that have been standing for eight hundred years. Motifs that were never meant for galleries but for homes, for rituals, and for the everyday.

We shape these into clothing that can be worn without thought. Simple. Wearable. Genuine.

What keeps us honest is the work itself. The art, the craft, the people behind it, and the cultures that continue to teach us what good design actually looks like.

This is not just clothing. It is a way of staying connected to where we come from.

Cloy. Rooted, always.
